The spiritual leader of Israel's ultra-orthodox Shas party, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, has provoked outrage with a sermon calling for the annihilation of Arabs.
"It is forbidden to be merciful to them. You must send missiles to them and annihilate them. They are evil and damnable," he was quoted as saying in a sermon delivered on Monday to mark the Jewish festival of Passover. ...

It's O.K.: there's nothing illegal about promoting holocausts. Anyway, why's anyone bothering with this. Barbara Amiel was advocating a nuclear holocaust of the Arabs in the Daily Telegraph years ago. What you've got to understand is that not all holocausts are equal. What's more, not all holocausts are bad. Like the Passover, for instance. That was a good holocaust. You know, when the Lord passed over Egypt and slaughtered every first-born child. That was very good indeed. The Egyptians, after all, were, and still are for that matter, Arabs, and, as the good Rabbi notes, "It is forbidden to be merciful to them." So the Jews celebrate the Passover as the most important event in the calendar.
And it's not just Arabs who it's O.K. to holocaust. Here's the Jerusalem Post (so recently snatched from the fumbling grasp of our very own Canadian Zionist media giant, CanWorst Global) lusting to nuke Iran. And this article appeared long before Iran's President Ah'm Mad for Jihad said that Israel was going to be wiped off the map.
For the Settler Rabbi, Yousef Falay, its even good to target fellow Israelis, as in his recent call for the extermination of all Palestinian males. Presumably the Palestinian virgins the settlers will keep for their own use.
Avigdor Lieberman, Deputy Israeli Prime Minister, a man welcomed to America by President-to-be-Elected Hillary Clinton, takes a similar, if slightly less radical view. Israel should, he has proposed, bus the thousands of Palistinians it holds captive to the Dead Sea and drown them. A joke? Oh, ha ha. Sort of crack a Nazi death camp guard would have appreciated.
Holocausts, clearly, are the Israelite way: they win some, they lose some. But it raises a question. Just because the Israelites choose to worship an emotionally retarded, paranoid psycopathic shit they call the Lord, why should the rest of the world suffer interminably from the consequences?
One might ask the same question of America's fundamentalist Christians. People like George Bush, who worships the Israelite Lord.
In fact, Bush is rather like the Lord, pathetically self-centered, arrogant, demonstrating a marked love of cruelty reflecting, probably, some deep-seated personal inadequacy.
One can imagine the Lord being amused to watch the young George shove a lighted firecracker up a frog's arse, toss the creature in the air and see it explode into singed and bloody fragments. The smell of singed flesh is a pleasing odor to the Lord.
We know that for George Shock and Awe was a real high. And it must have been an eye-opener for the Lord. Having seen what high-tech military explosives can do, it's not likely he'll find fire and brimstone cuts it in the future.
