Hitler photo circulated in Israel settlement fight

Israel's firebrand foreign minister has ordered that his country's embassies and consulates around the world display a photograph of Adolf Hitler with a Palestinian cleric.

It is part of a government push for the construction of a Jewish residential development in East Jerusalem.

Muhammed Amin al-Husseini a militant Arab nationalist with a criminal record was appointed Grand Mufti for life by Britain's Palestine High Commissioner, the Jew, Sir Herbert Samuel, a dedicated Zionist.

Samuel's appointment to High Commissioner of Palestine was welcomed by Zionists, but the British military government of occupation, headed by Allenby and Bols, considered the appointment "highly dangerous".

As pointed out by Allenby, the appointment was illegal, compelling the indigenous inhabitants of occupied Palestine to show allegiance to Great Britain before a peace treaty with Turkey had been signed -- a violation of military law and the Hague Convention.

The news of Samuel's appointment was received with "consternation, despondency, and exasperation" by Palestinian Muslims and Christians, who believed that Samuels would represent Zionist Jews, not the British Government.

Al-Husseini was a militant, Palestinian Arab nationalist who, in 1937, asked Germany to oppose establishment of a Jewish state, stop Jewish immigration to Palestine, and provide arms to the Arab population. He was forced into exile the same year and never returned to Palestine.

The Canadian Taxpayer's $600 billion portfolio of dubious mortgage assets

Canada's housing insurance agency, run by Ottawa and accountable to the Minister of Finance, is in the business of froth. It provides endless amounts of cheap insurance for high-ratio loans (with minimal down payments), so banks can simply shovel off the risk to the feds.

At the present time, it guarantees about $630 billion in mortgages. This is an astonishing amount of money, equal in size to half the Canadian economy. And what assets stand behind this? Securities worth $8 billion. This means 98% of its liabilities are not covered. This is a worse situation than that which faced US mortgage giants Freddie Mae and Fannie Mac, which lost 90% of their market value.

The Government of Canada cannot afford not to inflate the money supply, or most of this debt load will become toxic. What that means is that the dollar in your pocket or your savings account, invested in bonds, GIC's etc. will be devalued to pay someone else's mortgage, foolishly entered into with government approval.
