September 26, 2009 THE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE MONITOR KNOWS THE TRUTH, BUT WON'T TELL IT Christian Science Monitor: Ahmadinejad says he won't rule out an Iran nuclear bomb Actually, Ahmadinejad did not say "I won't rule out an Iran nuclear bomb." He repeatedly stated that Iran had no use for a nuclear weapon:
"We don't need such -- we don't have a such a need, nuclear weapons. We don't need nuclear weapons. Without such weapons, we are very much able to defend ourselves."
So the Christian Science Monitor headline is a lie direct. The Christian Science Monitor should stick to Christian Science. You know: whatever is evil doesn't exist, and if something evil seems to exist, it's because of erroneous thinking. Recognizing the perfection in everything is called "knowing the truth."
All the Monitor's got to do is stop thinking about Iran's nuclear weapons and they won't exist.
Tell everyone else to stop thinking of Iran's nuclear weapons and they won't exist for sure.
Think I don't know what I am talking about?
As a child in England I attended Christian Science Sunday School and was taught by a very nice lady in a fine hat (she was a real Lady, the wife of a knight who became cabinet minister and later a baron). She was also the daughter of a prime minister. So I received instruction from a very high source.
Curiously, the lady's brother-in-law was hanged for treason in 1945. He joined the Nazis and broadcast messages to Britain urging them to join with Hitler in the war against Russia. Otherwise, he said, the war would bring an end to the British Empire and result in Communist enslavement of Europe.
If he'd been wrong, probably nobody would have bothered about him. But on the first point he was dead right, and on the second point he was at least half right, which was unacceptable and he had to pay the penalty.
When taken from his cell to be hanged by a Mr. Pierrepoint, the unfortunate brother-in-law told the hangman "I've always wanted to meet you" adding, "but not, of course, under these circumstances." Afterwards, the hangman reported that the prisoner was "the bravest man I ever hanged". UN body urges Israel to allow nuclear inspection Israel deplored the measure for singling it out ... Singling it out as the only state in the ME that actually has nuclear weapons. Yeah, good idea singling Israel out. U.S. Intelligence Agencies confirm Iran not developing nukes The U.S. intelligence community is reporting to the White House that Iran has not restarted its nuclear-weapons development program, two counterproliferation officials tell NEWSWEEK. U.S. agencies had previously said that Tehran halted the program in 2003. Meaning that Israel lied: Israel -- Iran's Nuclear Program a Threat to World Peace.
Google CEO scoffs at Pornographer Poop Murdoch's plan for paid propaganda online But if you think people should pay for online content, don't hesitate to send us five bucks ... or more. And for more brilliant insight into Poop's plan to sell lies online please go here and scroll down to: "Murdoch to adopt 'offensive' model to sell online news." Personally, I find what Murdoch publishes is offensive enough as it is.
Amusingly, if you do a Bing search for Murdoch + "Wanker's friend" the second of only two links takes you to the main page of Rupert Murdoch's infamous Sun newspaper (Headlines today: "Who raped you?" "Sex swap school boy is aged just 12" and "Gladiator: My rape fears for ex Katie". Then, of course there's Page 3.
I am quite familiar with Page 3. On a train to London some years ago I was seated beside a nun, and opposite a very slow reader who seemed stuck on Page 2, giving me and my seat companion a lengthy exposure to the Page 3 Girl of the day. Cute, I suppose. Stuck in the face of a nun for half an hour, offensive too, I would say. Anyhow, well done Bing. I shall use this search engine more often. Joel S. U.S. envoys hesitate to report bad news "We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality -- judiciously, as you will -- we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors ... and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do" (Source NYT). So don't go messing with our minds by telling us the facts. Why has the stock market rallied so strongly? M - A - N - I - P - U - L - A - T - I - O - N Peter Dale Scott: Join the Appeal for Truth about 9/11 In the last few days Glenn Beck and the Washington Times have forced Van Jones to resign as environmentalist "green jobs" adviser to the White House. His principal offense: having signed a 2004 Statement from 911truth.org calling for a new investigation of the events of 9/11. This is a moment of truth for all who want America to be an open society. As the Los Angeles Times reported on September 8, "Other conservatives, smelling blood in the water, are sharpening their knives." Why should they not? The White House has just capitulated to a dishonest attack claiming that Jones, because he signed the 911truth Statement, "thinks the Bush administration blew up the World Trade Centers and covered it up." You can check Beck's capacity for accuracy by comparing this claim to the relevant call in the Statement itself: "for immediate public attention to unanswered questions that suggest that people within the current administration may indeed have deliberately allowed 9/11 to happen, perhaps as a pretext for war."
Poll suggests 29 per cent of Canadians believe 9-11 myth, more than U.S. The "myth" referred to is that the 9-11 hijackers entered the US from Canada. Bill Bonner: Decline and fall of the American Empire We would name the period between the fall of the Berlin Wall and the fall of Lehman Bros -- a period of only 19 years -- as the peak of US power and wealth. Of course, Americans were dreaming during those years. The dreams were the usual imperial sort -- that the US Empire was such a benefit to the rest of the world that the foreigners would support it indefinitely. Rome didn't take any chances; it forced its conquered nations to render tribute: slaves, gold and wheat. The American empire depended on trade and the dollar. As long as the United States had a commercial advantage, the empire was profitable. But as the 20th century aged, so did the US economy. Its competitors -- notably Germany and Japan -- had a big advantage. They had been bombed out in the '40s. They could build anew. America's trade advantage slipped away -- and then its trade balance went negative in the mid-80s. It has been getting more negative almost every year. ... Mish: U.S. Decade of No Income Gains
If Americans experienced no income growth for a decade, pretty certainly there was no real growth in America's GDP. The current "recession" thus seems best understood as the intensification of a decade-long depression, which was masked until now by debt-based spending. Unwinding the debt will likely extend the depression for many years to come. Mish: "Greenspanism" the Root Cause of this Depression
